is community based transportation and why is it unique?"
Community based transportation simply means that the point of
origin for our transportation service is your community! In other
words, you can expect a friendly smile and service you can trust
because we care about you as a neighbor as well as a customer.
"Why use Coach and Courier to the airport instead of a
shuttle service?"
Most of our customers enjoy the convenience of direct door-to-door
service. We're able to avoid customer complaints typically associated
with shared ride operations such as being picked up too early
or being delayed by other passengers at en route stops on the
way to the airport.
"Isn't it cheaper to park at the airport?"
If the length of the stay is of short duration, then the answer
is definitely, yes. Parking in the satellite lot at the airport
can cost as little as $7.00 a day. What our customers generally
take into consideration, other than the convenience that our service
provides, is the value it offers. Personal security, time management
and personal vehicle expenses are also very important.
"Is Coach and Courier more dependable than standard taxi
services?"
This is what makes being community based important. Because Coach
and Courier employees are active members within the community,
we hold ourselves to a higher level of accountability than one
might expect from a transportation service. The State of Maryland
Public Service Commission inspects our fleet semi-annually and
issues special licenses to all of our drivers.
"What do I do if my flight is delayed?"
Nothing. Coach and Courier will monitor all commercial flights
and still plan on arriving at the airport to greet you as scheduled
after actual arrival.
"Do I have to pay surcharges if my flight is delayed and
arrives after 11:00 p.m. or if it is snowing upon my arrival?
After all, it's not my fault that the flight is late or that it
is snowing."
Unfortunately, in order to ensure quality service under those
conditions, the answer to both is yes. Coach and Courier cannot
be financially responsible for the integrity of airline operations
and changes in weather patterns. In the event that either of these
conditions is known to exist in advance, you may want to call
our toll-free answering service as soon as possible at 240-876-3929 to cancel your reservations and avoid
these surcharges.
"What do I do if I miss my connection or my flight is
cancelled?"
In the event that your flight plans change or you miss your connection,
please notify Coach and Courier as soon as possible by calling 240-876-3929. Otherwise, our
vehicle will arrive to greet your scheduled flight and you will
be charged no-show fees. If your flight is cancelled and you still
require a pick-up at the airport, please call us as soon as possible
to inform us of your new itinerary. We will not dispatch a vehicle
for flights that are known to be cancelled.
"Where do I meet Coach and Courier at the airport after
my flight arrives?"
Unless otherwise directed, your scheduled Coach and Courier vehicle
and driver will meet you at the following airport locations:
BWI (Lower)
Arrival level; on the outer curb outside of your airline's baggage
claim area.
Dulles
20 minutes after the arrival of your domestic flight and 35
minutes after the arrival of your international flight. For domestic flights, look for your Coach & Courier Driver holding
a sign with your name on it near the Travelers Aid Desk adjacent
to the sign for Baggage Claim #4. For international flights,
look for your Coach & Courier Driver holding a sign with your
name on it in the International Terminal outside the exit for
Customs.
Ronald Reagan National Airport
Arrival level; on the outer curb outside of your airline's baggage
claim area.
"Does Coach and Courier provide service 24 hours a day?"
Coach and Courier provides transportation services by reservation
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the exception of Thanksgiving
Day, Christmas Eve after 3:00 p.m. and Christmas Day. Reservations
may be made by calling our reservations desk at (410)
451-3030.. Hours of operation for the reservations
desk are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays
9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Requests for on-demand pick-ups will be accommodated
during daytime business hours as the schedule allows.
Coach & Courier provides express
shuttle service to BWI Airport 24 hours a day and also provides
transportation, courier service and an alternative to limo service
to all points of interest and commerce in the Baltimore / Washington
/ Annapolis metropolitan area including all three major airports:
BWI Airport, Ronald Reagan National Airport and Dulles International
Airport. Private passenger transportation is also provided to rail
and bus stations, hospitals, medical centers, sporting events, tourist
attractions, museums, monuments, theaters, malls, local shopping
centers and children's day care facilities, schools and activities.in
Northern Prince Georges County, Kent Island and Queen Anne's County
